Free Film in a Week 4 Day Animation Workshop
AGES 8-11 YEARS
Participants will work with professional filmmakers, learning character design, model-making, storytelling and stop-motion animation techniques. Together everyone will make a fantastic short film using their new skills which includes everyones characters which will be entered in film competitions around the world!
DATES: Monday 27th to Thursday 30th July 2026
TIME: 10.30am – 3.30pm
PLACE: Cooke’s Studios, SIGNAL, 102-104 Abbey Rd, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria LA14 5QR
Lunch will be provided, please let us know of any dietary requirements.

We are limited to 12 places. This application does not guarantee placement, and priority will be given to residents of Barrow-in-Furness and those who would most benefit from the workshop. The young person must be able to attend all 4 days. The deadline for applications is Midnight on Sunday 19th July 2026, and we will be in touch via email to confirm those with successful places as soon as we can after the deadline.
