Laurence Campbell is an artist/filmmaker based in Cumbria. Through experimental practice in digital art, film and sound, the focus of his work is to create fractured narratives within non-representational documentation, and derive evocative methods to process and communicate his work.
Currently working with fellow Digi Lab artist David Haley on a video installation piece built through field recordings, ethnographic/ecological research and exploration of disintegrating landscapes. The project follows a forgotten beck which flows through the industrial and agricultural topographies of Low Furness. Contemplation through the eyes of an ancient water system reveals hidden dreams and often reflects the eerie realities of our time.
