Debbie Yare is an artist working across media with interests in photography, video, drawing, writing, and performance. Her artistic practice is concerned with understanding, documenting, and translating direct experiences of environments on and around Morecambe Bay, where she lives. Much of the work emerges through walking and engaging in long-term collaborative practices with the environment.

Recent work explores aspects of time in relation to place, coastal ecology, climate change, salt marsh restoration, and the relationship of the body to the environment through walking. Debbie has a particular interest in how we come to know complex coastal environments through artistic practice, and, in-turn, how environmental and ecological systems can inform how we live and work.
